Compensate for Time and Energy?

Shelby Daly

Should we start paying our elected Athletic Training representatives at the state, regional, and national levels?

I understand that many of us do not understand or directly see what the NATA is doing for our profession, and we think there is no reason we should we throw more money without seeing the results. However, what if we compensate the whole board of directors or the representatives to create the time and space from them to focus on the pressing issues that our profession is facing. Being able to commit time and attention without an accompanying full-time job may provide better or accelerated results.

Isn't it odd that only the NATA president is the only position being compensated with a stipend and we are expecting more time and commitment from the BOD to get things done?
