Shelby Daly was born in Anchorage, Alaska in 1991. She grew up in Kenai where her parents owned and operated a business technology company. She was very involved in her community through athletics, art, and the professional organizations her family was involved with. After graduating high school, she attended and played soccer at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA while ingraining herself in the athletics and kinesiology department.
Between her sophomore and junior years, she was diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia/cardiomyopathy (ARVD/C) which caused her to retire from playing competitive soccer. This navigated her path to athletic training. As an athletic training student, she reflected on the importance of athletic trainers and sudden cardiac death. She presented her capstone on educating the public on sudden cardiac death, specifically ARVD/C. Along with being a student athletic trainer she was also the manager for the varsity women’s soccer team and became a photographer for the athletics department and the school newspaper.

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 2013 with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training and Health & Fitness Management she attended California Baptist University in Riverside, CA to achieve her Master's of Science in Athletic Training. The program provided an emphasis on wholistic care of the patient through different non-traditional treatment measures.
As a first-year student in the program she developed a case study about ARVD and the importance of athletic trainers in the recognition and prevention in sudden cardiac death. She presented this case study at the 2014 California Baptist University College of Allied Health Symposium and the 2014 Far West Athletic Trainers’ Association Conference where she won the Research Presentation Award. She also guest lectured at Santiago High School about her condition of ARVD/C to the sports medicine class.
She graduated from California Baptist University in 2015 where she hired as the head athletic trainer for the Major Arena Soccer League’s Ontario Fury. She was involved with the team for 4 years where she spear headed creating a concussion policy for the league. During her time with the team she also was involved with the National Arena Soccer Team which toured the US before traveling internationally to Tunisia, Africa and Guatemala City, Guatemala. While the team was participating in the 2016 World Cup of Minifootball in Tunisia she was able to help the Australian National Team. This connection appointed her as the Medical Director for the 2018 World Cup of Minifootball in Perth. Australia where she was the medical lead for the Australian National Team.
While working with the Fury she was a part of the California Institute of Technology’s athletic training team and provided care to the student athletes between 2015-2023. She collaborated with the department to formulate the athlete educational programs Level Up to provide performance seminars to all the division 3 athletes.
In 2015 she collaborated with Dr. Ethan Kreiswirth to expand the business operations of Kreiswirth Sports Medicine which transformed to Black Belt Sports Medicine. Originally working jiu jitsu events in only Southern California and Las Vegas, the company expanded medical coverage across the United States after COVID-19 coordinating athletic training teams for most International Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation (IBJJF) events.
Looking to expand her expertise, she enrolled in University of Alaska’s Occupational Endorsement Certificate in Entrepreneurship between 2021-2022. Through this she gained knowledge on business operations in pursuit to start her own small business. She decided to focus her energy on business pursuits in healthcare by enrolling in the Doctorate of Athletic Training program at Florida International University in the spring of 2024. Her concentration will be in Athletic Training Entrepreneurship.
In 2023 her and her husband moved from Los Angeles to Philadelphia, PA to lead the Philadelphia Union Academy and manage operations of a facility transition.
Currently she works at Pennsylvania Hospital as an Athletic Trainer working directly with the orthopedic sports medicine doctors. She has many small business ventures that she is also working on that are in the initial start-up phases.

Randy Daly

If you are a local resident on the Kenai Peninsula, you probably would recognize the familiar voice from Tom Randell’s Daly Show on your way to work where you could count on good country music to get your day going. It provided live music performed on-air from his studio, live interviews with authors from around the country, local politicians, and concerned citizens by phone or in person.

Get the picture? Well Randy did. Working as president of The Alaska Film Group. He was the first SAG-AFTRA qualified actor to be elected to the position. Randy worked to expand film making in Alaska and along the way appeared in films with Drew Barrymore, John Krasinski, Nick Cage, and John Cusack. He is also a publisher of Reel Alaska, a magazine of the Alaska Film Group, the leading film industry support organization in Alaska. A nonprofit trade organization designed to create economic opportunities for membership, provide an educational forum, and to be a voice for the film & video industry of Alaska.
To make radio, film, and theater happen, Randy founded and built businesses in technology and tourism.

He also invests time in the community and was recognized as Rotarian of the Year. Being involved in the community is no small feat as Randy and his wife, Mary, started a small business technologies company, HiSpeed Gear, that provided technology services to the community between 1998 to 2021.
